Golf Captains Charity Day

More than a hundred members of the Budock Vean Golf Club will be battling it out on the scenic Helford River fairways on Sunday 7 August to raise funds for the Children’s Hospice South West.

The Captains’ annual charity day is a highlight among the competitions held by the Club throughout the year in aid of good causes. This year Captains Brian Fellows and Isobel McGrory  are hoping to top the £5000+ raised in 2021.

“Budock Vean is a small but incredibly welcoming and friendly club for players of all ages and abilities and we’re all keen to do our bit for our chosen charities,” says Men’s Captain Brian Fellows. “We get to play this beautiful course in the grounds of the Budock Vean – and the Hotel’s friends, colleagues and suppliers are always extremely generous with their raffle and auction prizes.”

Among the prizes already gifted are a luxurious treatment in the Budock Vean’s Natural Health Spa, a painting by professional artist Maxine Hart, an Ebike day out for two and contributions from the Hotel’s many local food and drink suppliers.

We’ll have a follow up post in due course with details of the winners on the day.
