Things to do Helford River area
Lots of local walks that can be as short or as long as you like (using the Parish Map for guidance). From the foreshore or the Ferry Boat Inn take a trip across the water to Helford village and explore the area across the river. Longer walks along the coast path (to Falmouth) or inland to Budock Water, Penjerrick Gardens, Port Navas and Constantine (there is a local bus service, for the return trip if required, but its not very frequent in the winter). With 24 hours notice we can arrange a picnic basket full of tasty treats to take with you on your walk or boat trip.
Pubs and Inns
The Ferry Boat Inn is just around the corner and down the hill at Helford Passage, ideal for coffee or lunch or you can hire a boat from the jetty.
The Red Lion pub in the village at Mawnan is within walking distance and a nice spot for lunch.
The Shipwrights Arms at Helford village just across the water is reachable by boat from Helford Passage and lovely for coffee, lunch or afternoon tea.
Bikes can be hired and delivered if requested.
