The Barlow Cup is played for by Budock Vean Golf Club and Merlin Golf Club every year. It is played on a home and away basis, with the aggregate score deciding the winners.

Budock Vean were the holders, and this year played at home first and won 4 – 2. Alan Mills, Budock Vean’s Seniors Captain usually leads the match, but on this occasion Fred Goodman stood in for Alan, who was unable to play. The away result was a 3 1/2  to 2 1/2 win for Merlin, leaving the overall score Budock Vean 6 1/2 Merlin 5 1/2, thus Budock Vean retained the cup, which they have held for the past three years.

Ted Barlow presented the trophy to Fred, for it’s safe return to Budock Vean.
