The captains of Budock Vean Golf Club recently presented donation cheques to their chosen charities; Mandown Cornwall and Cancer Research UK. The donations, which have been raised throughout the year by all players and visiting clubs, amount to close to £7,000.

The men’s captain handed over £3438 to Mandown Cornwall, an organisation that supports men in Cornwall struggling with depression or suicidal thoughts. The ladies’ captain, Denise Power, presented £3511 to Cancer Research UK, a leading charity dedicated to saving lives through research into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
