Find out what all the fuss is about in the beautiful surroundings of Budock Vean Hotel, a country house hotel on the Helford River in South Cornwall.

Budock Vean are running an ‘Introduction to Bridge’ holiday on Sunday 6^th to Friday 11^th October 2024 with popular teacher (and county director) Jeremy Child. Jeremy has been successfully teaching bridge for many years now and is praised for his clear teaching style.

Our Introduction to Bridge course focuses on the play of the cards and includes elements of the bidding process. Sessions consist of 20-30 minutes of teaching followed by 90 minutes of supervised practice.

Optional afternoon practice sessions are also available, or you may choose to visit some of the many local attractions such as Trebah Garden, the harbour town of Falmouth or enjoy the facilities on site including a 9 hole, 18 tee parkland golf course, 15m swimming pool or Natural Health Spa.

At the end of the break, you’ll leave with an understanding of the fascinating world of bridge, and hopefully be inspired to take it up as a lifetime hobby.

If you have already joined us for our Introduction to Bridge break, and you’re looking to further your bridge playing abilities, our Bidding for Beginners will give you a thorough grounding in how bidding works, giving you the tools to tackle any hand.

As well as tuition, the 5-night breaks include dinner, bed and breakfast and include use of the hotel’s facilities including the golf course, indoor pool, outdoor hot tub, tennis courts and snooker room.
