Joining Budock Vean Golf Club
The memership year starts on the 1st April and, for the fourth year running, the adult membership fee remains the same at £399. This may be paid in full or quarterly instalments by direct debit. If you would like to take advantage of attractive discounts on food and drink in the hotel and golf club bar, we ask that a credit supplement of £125 is paid on joining and an account is set up for you at the hotel where you will enjoy a 25% discount on food and drink, and 10% off in the golf shop and spa.
Children from 7 years old can join the Juniors training on Saturday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Until they are capable of playing on the course the membership fee is just £10 a year. Once they start playing on the course they will join the Club as Junior Members and will only pay £40 a year until they are 18. They then become Student Members and pay £125 a year.
If you are interested playing on this beautiful course and joining the very small but friendly Club please contact the Golf Manger, Tony Ramsden, in the golf shop behind the Hotel or call him on 01326 252102.

Secretary's Message - 11th June 2017
On Sunday, the whole Club played a Medal competition for The President’s Putter. It was glorious day for golf and a large field of Lady and Gentlemen played some excellent golf to produce some low scores and a very close result. The winner with a net 65 was James Greville-Smith; Angela Lawrence was second with 66 and David Tippett third, on count back from Sue Rule, with 67. Three other members returned a net 69 but a special mention most go to Fay Joffe who is one our longest serving members; everyone at the presentation was delighted. Traditionally, the President has presented the winner with a new putter but last year our President, Barbara Barlow, gave the winner a financial prize and tasked us to find an old hickory putter that could be mounted as a trophy for the future. One was found and skilfully mounted by David Townsend who is a member of the Club. Sadly, as many will know, Barbara died at the beginning of the year. All the members of the Club were delighted that Ted Barlow, Barbara’s husband, accepted the Committee’s invitation to present the Trophy.
On Wednesday, the Ladies played two competitions: the Champion of Champions for 2016 and a Stableford. Tricia Blatter retained the Champion of Champions Trophy with an excellent round and a net 68. Angela Lawrence was, once again second, with 71 and Nina Hann third with 73. The Stableford competition was won by Shirley Mildren with 37points, Philippa Oliver second with 36 and Sue Rule third with 31. During the week, the Seniors played a Stableford competition which was won by Malcolm Hooper with an excellent 39 points. David Gibbons was second with 36 and Martin Salome third with 35. They also played a friendly match against Truro and had a convincing win.
