Autumn retreats
Improve your Bridge skills with supervised play on our Bridge for Improvers Break 5th-10th October. All skill levels are welcome, from beginners to club players.
Let nature be your muse and explore your skills as an artist on our Watercolour Painting Break 12th-16th October. If you enjoy a crafternoon, join us for our four-night Quilting Workshop Retreat 19th-23rd October. Guided sessions will support you as you create your quilt, whether you choose existing designs or a freestyle approach.
For nights with a difference, step back in time and become a detective on our themed Murder Mystery Evenings on 3rd October and 7th November – new to Budock Vean for 2025. From movie glamour to Cold War espionage, enjoy an entertaining evening filled with shenanigans, clues and suspects alongside an exquisite three-course meal.
Festive workshops
It’s the personal touches that make Christmas special. A handpicked tipple to toast with friends, a homemade decoration, and a card wishing heartfelt season’s greetings.
At our Christmas Wine Tasting on 27th November, award-winning Sommelier Elly Owen will be sharing carefully selected wines sure to delight when they grace your Christmas table.
Discover the art of beautiful lettering on our Christmas Calligraphy workshop on 20th November. Learn how to confidently craft shapes with a calligraphy pen, and use your new skill to create elegant elements, from gift tags to Christmas cards.
On the 4th and 9th December, we will be hosting Christmas Wreath Workshops with local artist Fiona Pulen. Gather nature together to create your own charming adornment on locally made willow bases, enjoying mulled wine and mince pies as you work.
Celebrate with loved ones
This festive season, get together with family, friends or colleagues within the sparkling setting of Budock Vean. In December, Festive Lunches will be available Sunday to Thursdays (until the 22nd). Choose from a two or three-course lunch and share the joy at our idyllic riverside location.
For a truly special evening set to fill you with cheer, join us for one of our magical Christmas Parties, held on Fridays and Saturdays in December. As the lights twinkle and the drinks flow, relax with great company over a three-course evening meal before music and dancing.
On 31st December, join the celebrations at our New Year’s Eve Black Tie Dinner, complete with champagne reception, four-course meal, DJ, and entertainment. Toast with loved ones over fine food and celebrate new beginnings.
