Kayak from Budock Vean Hotel & Spa

Kayaking the Helford River

Kayaking the Helford River

This 2 hour adventure with Koru Kayaking runs from April to October from our private cove. Heading towards Helford Passage, passing sailing boats and ancient oak forests which are designated as Atlantic Temperate Rainforest (a much rarer landscape than tropical rainforest). Paddle across the river to Frenchman's Creek, the inspiration for Daphne du Maurier's novel. The serene surroundings on calm waters are amazing with shipwrecks and secluded beaches. On sunny days there is an opportunity to swim in the soft waters of the creek, before paddling back to Budock Vean Hotel & Spa.
