Work Experience at Budock Vean Hotel & Spa

We’re excited that you’re interested in completing your work experience with Budock Vean Hotel & Spa.

Our work experience placements are designed to give students a real insight into working life within the FABULOUS industry of hospitality. That means you won’t just be watching form the sidelines, you’ll be treated like part of the team and experience what it’s really like to work in a professional, fast-paced, rewarding environment.

To help prepare you for the world of work, our work experience programme follows the same process as applying for a job. This includes completing an application form and attending an interview. While this might feel a little formal, it’s an important part of the learning experience and helps build confidence, communication skills, and interview experience for the future.

What are the next steps in my work experience application?

Once you have completed and submitted your application form, it will be reviewed by our Head of HR. If your application is successful, you will be contacted by email to arrange a work experience interview with the manager of your chosen department. The interview is a friendly and supportive conversation. It gives you the opportunity to:

  • Meet the team before your placement begins.
  • Find out what your work experience will really involve.
  • Ask any questions you may have (there are no silly questions!)

It also helps us make sure that the placement is the right fit for you, your interests, and your learning goals, so we can give you the best possible work experience.

We can’t wait to hear from you, good luck with your application.
