Join us for a five-night escape at Budock Vean Hotel & Spa, where you’ll enjoy delicious dining, peaceful surroundings, and the chance to learn the fascinating game of Mah Jong in a relaxed and sociable setting.
Each morning, from 10am to 12pm, enjoy expert-led Mah Jong lessons with our knowledgeable tutor, Caroline. She’ll guide you through the history and traditions of this ancient tile-based game, introduce you to the set, the tiles and how to use the racks, and take you step-by-step through setting up, scoring, and playing. You’ll even master a goulash – and find out exactly what that means!
Play Mah Jong in Cornwall
Caroline teaches using the British Mah Jong Association rules, making the game accessible whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refresh your skills.
Games are played in groups of three or four, so there’s a relaxed, social feel throughout your stay. Optional supervised play is also available each evening.
