Budock in Bloom

There’s a special kind of magic in spring at Budock Vean Hotel & Spa. The days lengthen, our gardens awaken, river adventures return, and the season invites you outdoors to slow down, explore and reconnect with nature.
Whether you’re planning a spa break, a family getaway, a dog‑friendly escape, or a solo adventure, Budock Vean offers a celebration of spring at its very best.
Peaceful nature walks
Our acres of Cornish-inspired gardens are something to behold this time of year. Camellias, magnolias, and rhododendrons begin to unfold in bright pockets, creating a living tapestry for gentle walks through our valley gardens and down to the private river foreshore.
From April, our two-night Cornish Garden Break invites you to experience Cornwall’s gardens at their peak, combining tranquil estate walks with visits to some of the region’s most spectacular garden attractions, including tickets to Trebah and The Lost Gardens of Heligan.
Why not capture the beauty of nature on our watercolour day workshops in April, including sessions with a tutor and a light lunch.
May brings National Walking Month, perfect for exploring the South West Coast Path and surrounding woodlands right from the doorstep here at Budock Vean. Follow the Helford River past creeks and ancient trees to sea views beyond. We’re proud to be a South West Coast Path Mile Maker, helping to conserve a stretch of this incredible trail.
Our Walking Weekend in May includes expertly guided walks to uncover hidden corners of Cornwall on foot, returning each evening to luxury, comfort and seasonal dining.
Family adventures
Spring is the time for effortless Easter holidays and May half term family breaks at Budock Vean. With full use of the leisure facilities included in your stay, there’s lots to keep everyone entertained. Challenge each other on the tennis courts or in the snooker room and take a dip in the swimming pool and hot tub.

Discover the Helford River
April marks the beginning of the season for riverside adventures. Glide through the waters on a guided kayak or paddleboard tour, or hop aboard a boat trip, exploring hidden creeks and quiet corners that feel far from everyday life.
If you prefer to stay ashore, riverside walks offer moments of stillness and gentle reflection. Along the way keep a lookout for the wildlife that call this beautiful place home.
Seasonal dining & Supper Clubs
Spring dining at Budock Vean celebrates seasonal flavours and local Cornish produce. Discover our menus offering breakfasts, lunches, dinners and afternoon tea, as well as curated drinks menus featuring local tipples.
Join our Supper Club evenings in April and May, combining a delicious three-course dinner with a fascinating talk from a local expert as they reveal magical stories and exclusive insights into our beloved Cornwall.
