Things to do

There is plenty to do in the hotel and the immediate area without using your car.

Motor boats, sailing dinghies and yachts are available for hire, Or join us on our 19 foot open river boat, the Hannah Molly.

As we are so well located on the Helford river for water based activities, we have hooked up with a number of local water sports providers to offer a full range of activities, including Power boat cruising, fishing, sailing lessons, kayaking and many more.

In addition to walks from the hotel there are many other coastal and inland walks within easy reach.

Our own golf course is available for unlimited use at no charge to Budock Vean residents, and an extensive programme of events is held at the hotel in conjunction with David Short Golf Schools, and there are 16 local courses within a one-hour drive of Budock Vean.

There are 9 gardens within 30 minutes drive of the hotel and many others besides.

At Budock Vean's Helford Lounge we host EBU licensed tournament Bridge Weeks as part of our unique Bridge & Golf breaks.

Our very popular Gourmet Weekends consist of specially selected dinner menus on two nights with complimentary wines as well as additional tastings and presentations.

There are some very good value Shooting Breaks to be had in Cornwall as well as the fishing. Some things happen mostly in the summer - take a look at our summer programme.
